Accepting in home offer- how do you structure in home sessions?

I mostly have school and center based experience. I’m a BCBA. Can someone tell me how they structure their in home sessions?
I’m so nervous but excited.

Tell me about your experience, in home BCBAS!

Was interviewing for 20 hours a week, in home, salaried position w benefits. Cancellations can be made up/planned in advance (if known) and there is a “pool of cases” you can pick up to make up hours. Having an A/B schedule is allowed. Hybrid/telehealth is allowed.

I’m strictly a school and center based BCBA. What should I be preparing for if I take this?

Out of the team of us, I was the only one left out of the gifts for teacher appreciation week that my entire BCBA team got. When I said I was upset, the other girls acted like it was weird and stupid.

“I really wouldn’t care but you can have mine if it means that much”. Like… it’s the principle.

Tired of being the forgotten one in the school system, regardless of how much time and effort I put in. I’m also tired of unsupportive coworkers.

I’m a new BCBA and received an offer. The hours are LONG: 8:15-4:45. (In comparison to working 7:30-3:30 at a school!!!)
But only 25 billable.

Has anyone worked there before and have any experience with the company? It feels like I’ll get burnt out.

I’m currently a BCBA in a school district making 76k (+3k~ for the summer program) working 11 months.

Bierman is offering 90k.

This is what I always wanted. It was my goal job. Now I’m here and I feel like I’m doing everything halfway.

My caseload is pushing 45 students, and I’ve completed 20+ FBAs in a single school year. It’s just not realistic to implement anything with fidelity at that level.

Staff are either set in their ways (“I’ve been doing this for 30 years”) or brand new and not invested in ABA.

My contract is vague and I’m not in the union. I also have to work the full month of July.

The positives: I make about 76k going into year two, plus another 3 to 4k for summer. Benefits are solid and I get school breaks. There’s also not a ton of direct oversight, so some days are flexible.

The negatives: other days I’m working through lunch and basically functioning as a para. The biggest issue is the social and political side. I’m split between two schools with around 1,500+ students total, and the constant interaction is exhausting.

This is the highest paying district in my area, so I feel stuck weighing that against how drained I am.

Would appreciate advice or hearing from people in similar roles.
