Hey everyone, looking for some cheap DIY advice. I rent an apartment in Sydney and accidentally had a body lotion/soap bottle leak inside my under-sink cabinet. It’s caused some staining and the white melamine coating is peeling and going mouldy in spots.
The cabinet is white MDF with melamine coating — pretty standard apartment stuff.
Now I want to cover the base so it looks decent and doesn’t get worse. I was thinking of cutting a piece of PVC board to fit the floor of the cabinet and siliconing it down.
Questions:
• Is PVC sheet from Bunnings the best option or is there something cheaper/easier?
• Should I seal the edges with anything?
• Any other waterproof lining options worth considering?
Budget is as low as possible. Thanks in advance!
