Was Tana highly regarded as a defensive Guru or has his appointment come at somewhat of a surprise? I would imagine the All Blacks would want to have looked to appoint a defensive expert so he must be the best available defensive coach in the world. I just never heard his name bandied around like Shaun Edwards or Jacques. Jerry Flannery defense coach of the boks was defense coach at harlequin for many years. I just don't see where Tana has been an expert defense coach. Moana ended with negative 291points difference this year. Which is more than Double the next worse team in the comp. Failing forward?

Are the All Blacks deliberately not showing Highlights? All teams in the nations championship released highlights a few hours of games but the All Blacks do not. Is it a license thing? Referring to highlights on YouTube.

If a team kicks the ball and it goes over the deadball line a scrum is awarded from where he kicked it or is it a choice for the opposition? Reason I ask is if Boks are say 30 40 meters out they could just start kicking ball over deadball line and milking scrum penalties for points, especially if Ben Okeefe is ref. They have near flawless scrum penalty ratio on own or opposition ball.
