“Did I Live True to Myself? …some questions only come when it’s almost too late”
Seeking Honest Critique on My Debut Philosophy Book
Hi everyone,
I’ve been quietly working for the last few years on my debut book
“Did I Live True to Myself? …some questions only come when it’s almost too late”
— a practical philosophy / personal growth / spiritual-secular ethics book.
What I’m sharing: Only Chapter 1 (approx. 2,500–3,000 words)
Chapter Title: The Modern Void – The Failure of Rigid and Flexible Laws
Core Slogan:
"We fell while swinging between a cage that suffocated us and a void that isolated us."
Brief description of the chapter:
This chapter explores the growing emptiness and anxiety many of us feel today — caught between rigid traditional expectations (family pressure, societal rules) and modern hyper-individualism (freedom without meaning). It introduces key ideas like the Rigid-Law Circle, Flexible-Law Circle, and the new “Shared-Law Circle” as a third way forward. It includes a relatable real-life story of a young man named Ravi and lays the foundation for the book’s original philosophy: Bounded Non-Dualism and Engaged Ethical Humility.
I’m looking for thoughtful, honest feedback.
I’m only sharing this single chapter right now so I can revise the rest of the book based on real writer feedback before sending anything more.
If you have time and would like to read it, please comment “Interested” below or DM me. I’ll send you the complete PDF of Introduction and Chapter 1.
No pressure on turnaround time — even quick thoughts would mean a lot.
Thank you so much! Looking forward to learning from this community.
Warm regards,
