hey yall. I recently got accepted into industrial engineering and wanted to ask... do you guys recommend living in residence in first year (or maybe even second year as well). I'm in a position where I literally live 1h30min commute away, but I'm scared that this might take a lot of my time away from studies and extracurricular opportunities. I can't even lie but I was looking at the courses and I think I'm slow in a few engineering courses (like the physics ones) so I definitely need to dedicate a lot of time to studying. Side note my parents can't pay for me to live on residence so it'll be dependent on OSAP loans.
