[Sample ID] Count Bass D "Just Say No to Drugs" & Omar-S "Turn-And-Walk-Away" flip the same Rhodes loop — anyone know the original?
Hey everyone, I've been trying to ID a sample for a while. Two completely different tracks from different scenes (underground hip-hop & Detroit deep house) seem to flip the exact same Fender Rhodes phrase, but I can't find the original source on WhoSampled or anywhere else.
Track 1 — Count Bass D - "Just Say No to Drugs" (from Dwight Spitz, 2002) 👉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueIJtG1nrSE
Track 2 — Omar-S - "Turn-And-Walk-Away" (from Side-Trakx Volume #1, 2006) 👉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=012T64zmyQ4
The loop is a warm, melancholy Rhodes phrase, sounds like '70s jazz-fusion / soul-jazz, minor key (G minor or C minor-ish), with a descending tremolo'd melody line. Any help would be hugely appreciated — this has been driving me crazy.
