Confusion on concurrent filing eligibility for the Spouse of LPR

My spouse is LPR and I am filing VAWA petition soon.

Some of the articles I’ve read are saying I will have to wait until I-360 gets approved and then file my AOS application later.

Some are saying if the Visa bulletin for F2A category is current the it’s possible to file concurrently immediately for the spouse of US Citizen while others and AI saying it’s possible for the spouse of LPR as well.

Do I have to wait until I-360 gets approved or can I file now being a spouse of LPR?

What’s the truth?

What is the actual rule and correct interpretation?

Emotionally confilcted about the police report

Hey y’all!

My wife had physically assaulted me on April 24th then we stopped talking then she started pressuring me financially. I eventually got out of the toxicity in a shelter a few days back. I have not been emotionally well and been missing our happy moments together. I have to move on. Though, I have audio recordings of the abuses I am super concerned about filing a police report. She is on a green card it is going to put a criminal record on her and she may be deported.

I don’t want to hurt her. I don’t know what should I do. Any advice?

Self petition Documents review/Pro Bono Attorneys

Hey y’all! I am preparing for my VAWA case and asking if there is any pro bono lawyers who could help me file my case. I can’t afford to pay thousands of dollars. Is it advisable to file by myself? If yes, is there anyone who could review my final documents? Please give me as many resources you can.

Trying to seek VAWA

I am currently considering filing a VAWA case and wanted honest opinions from people who have gone through this process, especially because my marriage itself was only around 6 months and I’m scared about how USCIS may view it.
My wife and I have been together since January 2025. The marriage was real. We lived together, had a joint lease, utilities, health insurance, emergency contact records, shared residence, and joint financial access. We moved into a new apartment together and shared household responsibilities and expenses.
The relationship became emotionally abusive and eventually physically aggressive. I recently moved into a domestic violence shelter and they documented my statements in detail.
Some of the evidence I currently have includes:

recordings of arguments

messages involving humiliation/body shaming
repeated financial pressure and intimidation

messages related to sexual pressure/coercion (“I won’t take no for an answer”)

recordings where I said she physically attacked me and she later justified hitting me

shelter documentation

therapist/shelter recommendation to seek VAWA-related help

One of my biggest fears is that because the marriage only lasted about 6 months, USCIS may think the marriage was fraudulent even though it genuinely was not. A private attorney I spoke with said shorter marriages can face more scrutiny, which honestly scared me a lot.

I’m currently out of status as well, which adds to the fear and stress.
I’m not trying to exaggerate anything or falsely accuse anyone. I’m just trying to understand realistically:
has anyone here had a successful VAWA case with a short marriage?
how important was bona fide marriage evidence in your case?
did recordings/text messages/shelter documentation help?
did anyone self-file or use nonprofit/legal aid help?
Please only serious and respectful responses. I’m mentally exhausted and trying to navigate this carefully and honestly.
