Owners lied about dogs anxiety

Dog is finally getting picked up today and I needed to vent if that’s allowed here

10 day booking for not nearly enough money, over the holiday here in America (fireworks)

He’s been barking like crazy and that was not listed in his current feedback and I was not warned by the owner, I reached out after a few days to ask if it was typical and the owner basically said “yeah he does that feel free to just deal with it”

And last night he almost busted through a door because he was so freaked out, I don’t understand why people with anxious pets don’t have meds on deck for special cases like this

They knew he was hyper sensitive to fireworks and then left him with a complete stranger?

I live in an apartment that’s not even supposed to have dogs (my own problem ik) but him barking at 6 am is not helping anyone and there nothing I can do to make him stop

Very happy to be almost done

Special needs disabled dog 12hr rate?

I’ve been on rover for about 4 months and had a good amount of contacts, been caring for animals for more than 25 years.

Had a guest reach out via my doggy day care rate ($40) asking for 12 hours of care for a dog that uses a wheelchair and needs her bladder hand expressed and needs medication once during the time I’d have her.

I responded letting her know my $40 rate would not cover what she’s asking for and told her it would be $110 for the request. She said she wants to find someone multiple days per week so I said I could do a discount for bundle bookings.

After sending that price she immediately asked what my discounts would be bc she “doesn’t know if she can afford more than $300 a week”

Just wondering if anyone else has had a dog like this before? I don’t have a problem doing it but not for $40 (usually that’s like 6 hours max and I only have to take them out a couple times and maybe feed them)

So - 12 hours in my home, putting her in the wheelchair and hand expressing the bladder every 3-4 hours per owner, and one dose of medication (drop off 5:30am and pick up 4:30pm)

Thoughts?

I live in a pretty well off area but the prices on rover here are very competitive, I just recently raised them mainly bc I wanted to take fewer bookings temporarily, and I’ve gotten very few bites since that (to be expected) but just for context most people out here are not charging a lot
