Had the detailer correct scratches on the hood and they reapplied the ceramic coating and sent me on my way. Is this normal for the initial curing process? Will it disappear in the next 24-72 hours?
Got a brand new 2026 Volkswagen Golf R last Monday took it in for ceramic coating and tint yesterday, and asked if they could debadge the doors. So I’m paying $1,400 for the paint correction & ceramic coating. $200 for window ceramic and $100 extra for the debadging. Came in today to get some things out of my car and he said this happened because the emblems were put on too soon after the clear coat and caused this damage out of the factory. He’s denying responsibility and I’m unsure of what to do. Said it would be extra to wet sand it but that he would charge $200 instead of $400 for that service.
