I thought this might be fun. I really enjoy Paul McGann's take on the Doctor. The Eighth Doctor. Young and dashing and kind and eccentric and English and Edwardian. But it got me thinking. Are there any other fictional characters in books, film and television that look or act like him? Big Finish and the Comics and novels developed the character further but does anybody know any character like the Eighth Doctor in other stories. Dashing and Edwardian and Byronic. Maybe with a frock coat and pocketwatch? Can be Sci Fi or period drama or fantasy. Bonus points if its adventure and or Steampunk!
