YA book by a British-Asian author (south Asian I think), where students of a school are hacked & tricked into meeting an online persona who ends up killing them & at the very end of the book at the funeral for one of the deceased, it's revealed that it was the IT technician. He tells the protagonist it was he who did it & tells her there's nothing she can do about it & that's the end of the book. I think the cover the book was a spider web or butterfly or something but I think it was web related.
