Welcome opinion from fire engineers (all levels) on question, is it worth pursuing Fire Engineering as career in UK ? Is it finanically rewarding and what is typical career trajectory in a good consultancy.

Skilled Worker Visa Fee - High Exchange Rate

I am applying for skilled worker visa from europe (outside UK). Towards end of application, I am asked to pay IHS fee first which is almost 200 euros more than the actual amount if I convert using the current exchange rate (3105 GBP become 3550 euros but it is showing 3738 euros). I researched and got to know that home office exchange rate is some percentage higher than market rate.

Is there any hack to avoid paying these extra 200 euros for nothing ? Same is for visa application fee.

Anyone has experience of paying through wise / revolt or UK bank card ?

UPDATE: I researched and unfortunately there is no way one can avoid it. Even if I pay using Wise / Revolt, it will charge GBP equivalent to 3738 euros. Paying with UK bank card is even worse due to additional conversion charges from GBP to EUR

I discussed with employer and they agreed to pay this amount because this is system fault not mine.
