Am I making the right choice?

This is my first time posting, but I honestly dont know where else to go for unbiased advice, so sorry if I'm doing this wrong.

I (25M), just got an opportunity to escape the retail/fast food career. I've been in retail since high school, with years of management experience and customer service. I've been in smaller retail spaces and larger chains alike. Last week i was scrolling through Indeed, like every other underpaid person does, and came across a post for an entry level position in marketing. Of course I applied not thinking much of it and expecting the usual "we've decided to go with another candidate" response I normally get. Instead of that, I received an invitation for a zoom interview, then a follow-up call, then an offer. The position has me starting as a sales representitive making commission (not the listed $18/hr starting pay). I had intially intended on turning down the offer, but my spouse (26F), encouraged me to take the position. She thinks that a new career path is healthy for me and has more long-term opportunities. At the same time as receiving the offer, my current workplace has offered me a promotion as well as a significant pay raise. After 3 days of talking with friends and family, I accepted the offer with the marketing firm. My problem is, I'm worried about this not being the right move. I keep fighting with myself about if its the right choice, will I do well or will I end up failing, and what happens if I fail. I worry about being soley on commissions even though I'm constantly told I have great customer service and am extremely charasmatic.

Am I making the right choice? Should I stay at my current job or take the leap and hope it works out?
