Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to put this out here, I’m going to be joining Thapar this year for the Electronics Instrumentation and Control Engineering (EIC) branch!

Since campus starting is still a bit away, I figured it would be awesome to connect with fellow EIC freshers beforehand. It’d be great to know each other a bit better so we don't feel completely lost on day one, and honestly, we can help each other out with all the upcoming admission hassles, hostel choices, and eventually, course stuff and societies.

Honestly, I never thought I’d be writing this post. I was always a good student 95% in 10th, 96% in 11th, but I completely fucked up my drop year. I got way too distracted trying to apply to universities abroad, and the outcome is not favourable ofc... That's why I'm writing this post :(

I’m sitting here now with a 74 percentile in JEE and 74% in PCM (CBSE).

I’ve made my peace with the fact that CSE is gone, but I’m genuinely interested in core branches like Mechatronics or maybe EIC (though I know EIC is a stretch) or any other core branches. I'm an Outside Punjab candidate.

I need some honest, no-BS advice on how to get into Thapar (TIET) from here.
