Hi everyone,

I'm Italian and I'm going to visit NYC for the first time. I remember from my past trips to the US that my debit card didn't work, since it was a national circuit.

I have a second debit card which is Mastercard, will it be enough?

I don't want to make a credit card just for a week long trip, I already booked my accomodation and won't rent a car.

I've read online that some people couldn't get a metro card with their debit card.

Can you help shed a light on this?
