How do you avoid paint lines on walls? Crafting day flop.

Kit: Starlight Book Nook

So my goal was to add a chair rail moulding with wallpaper above. I could not get the paint to dry without brush lines. After painting and sanding multiple times, I decided to pivot into full wallpaper. I did add window trim but I'm not satisfied with it yet.

My very first customization.

Kit: Starlight Reading Nook

I admit this was tougher than I thought it was going to be but I'm happy with the result.

Newbie looking to customize the Starlight Reading Nook. Advice before I start?

Hello! Newbie here. My mom bought herself the Green Life Bookshop kit and asked me to build it for her. Let’s just say new hyperfixation activated. I've read through a lot of the posts in this sub and you all have given me some great info as well as a whole wishlist of kits for the future.

I'm really interested in building one I can customize. Some of your customizations are incredible. I ordered the starlight reading nook kit from amazon because besides the lights the rest of the build looks a little plain. Do you all think this might be a good one to start with?

So far I'm thinking that I’d like to add a rug and a seat cushion. Maybe a few little items like a coffee cup etc. I'm definitely doing something with the curtains. I’d like to change up the wall color with something that won't take away from the window. Would you all suggest wallpaper or paint? I'm really excited to jump into this but I'm a little afraid I'll ruin it. Any tips or advice is appreciated.
