I am moving to the Chicago area in August and need to start my apartment search however I’m needing to find properties that happened to accept bad credit (around 555). Unfortunately, in 2022 I had a sibling that ran my credit through the ringer which hinders me and other opportunities. I am currently in the process of disputing all of the credit cards and things of the sort that were opened however that doesn’t just happen overnight. I have a consistent job of 4+ years and can comfortably afford/am currently paying sound $3,350 per month where i’m located. I am looking to stay in nice areas if possible, just looking for some advice.
