Hello everyone. Happy Friday. I've been looking around and I'm curious as to how your shops are set up. I’ll go first.
- How many:
- Beds- 1,000
- ORs/Procedure areas- over 100
- Devices- 45,000+
- Biomed techs- 13
- Pump/small equip- 0 but we have a department that picks up pumps for us
- 1s-3
- 2s-10
- 3s- Not a position here
- Leads- Not a position here
- Leaders- 2
- Supervisors- 1
- Managers- 0
- Directors- 1
- Radiology Biomed Techs- 1
- Applications/Interface team- 5 for the hospital system
- Clinical Engineers- 2 for the hospital system (2,000 beds)
- Do you have an AEM? Yes, very robust
- On call
- Hourly pay- $3
- Showing up pay- 1.5x pay, minimum 2 hours even if you are only there for 30 seconds.
- Setup- daily rotation with Fri-Sun being one person on rotation
- On average, how often do you show up in person- too often. Sometimes for hours at a time.
