This is just sad
I was about 14 when it was first rumored that the world cup would be held in my home country of Canada. I remember just how hyped I was to hear that I will get to watch my first high level football game right here in my city. I remember going to TFC games at BMO Field thinking wow one day I am gonna sit here and watch Neymar or something play live.
Now I am at a point where I am so sad and depressed that I am being so horribly priced out with these abhorrent ticket prices. I mean just look at this.
This is so unfair man I have some friends from Uni that are going to the games because their wealthy ass dad could afford to pay freaking $2000 CAD per freaking person to take them and their entire family to not just one but like 3 freaking top level games. These guys have never watched football in their life, they can barely name like 5 active players. This isn't just one person either, many people that I go to school with, people that know absolutely nothing about the game could never ever care to watch it even are paying stupid prices to go watch big teams just because they can afford them, or their parents got it as part of a package from the place they work at. Well I don't have wealthy parents like that neither do I have money of that sort.
I recently just started working after graduation and I mean yes I saved money but not like this much man I never expected it to be this bad. Along with bills and everything already drown me its impossible for me to take the risk of spending so much money for 2-3 hours of "entertainment".
It just sucks god knows when is the next time the world cup will happen in my city. I know this just how life works, the rich get access to things the not so rich will ever be able to, it just sucks that I get reminded of that fact here as well.
Fifa actually out here breaking peoples hearts man lol
