Hi everyone! 37f with a davf causing extreme headaches and PT. I am going to move forward with an embolization and would love to hear from people what their recovery process was like. I am hearing everything from back to normal after a week or so to it taking over a year to feel yourself again. Hearing from any and all experience would be really helpful. Just beginning treatment for extensive metastases. My oncologist suggested Ibrance and told me there have been no studies comparing the two however i am sure i have seen that both Kisqali and Verzenio have longer PFS. Can anyone help clarifying what they know about this?
To those of you on Kisqali — does the hair thinning slow down or does it continue as long as we are on this line of treatment?
Just received my brain MRI after learning that I had extensive bone mets throughout my entire skeleton. Currently no evidence of brain mets but multiple lesions on my skull and one shows signs of dural thickening meaning there may now be involvement of the dural matter. From what I can gather there is next to no information about dural metastases out there but in the few studies I’ve read the prognosis is not great.
I am still waiting on the biopsy before the treatment plan is confirmed but it’s a terrifying time. + - -. Can anyone share their treatment experience with skull and/or dural mets. Of course I’m scared of the prognosis as well. Is anyone out here living despite innumerable bone lesions? I know the skull is technically just part of the bone spread but it’s much scarier being near the brain. Currently not experiencing many symptoms at all despite wide spread innumerable Mets.
I was just diagnosed with a DAVF (37/f) after having pulsatile tinnitus for about 4 months. Suspected from a CT angio and then confirmed from a DSA. It's been a whirlwind. My condition is currently benign but I am very interested in an embolization, though also scared of the risks. I would love to connect with anyone who has had an embolization and hear your story. Are there any recommendations for doctors or specific treatment centers? Anything you wish you knew before? Thank you!
