Question about Insurance involving Premiums (Food Delivery)

I intend to drive for food delivery apps such as Doordash and Uber Eats, and have already signed up and have been approved for them.

However, I’ve yet to start because I don’t yet have the proper endorsements, and I’m in a situation where I’m waiting to move from my parent’s insurance where I’m just a driver to getting my own.

A question I have is would my premiums go up just because I signed up to drive for those services, but never actually drove for them?

What about if I got into an accident and have to file a claim? Would the fact that I’ve signed up show up to them?

Question about Instacart Insurance Requirements

One of Instacart’s requirements for drivers is that my “auto insurance policy covers commercial use.”

I’m not certain if they’re saying they only want my auto policy to have a rideshare/delivery endorsement like Doordash and Uber Eats does, or if they’re actually asking for a commercial policy.

My insurance is with Progressive, and they confirmed that this would be an unacceptable risk for both commercial and personal lines, and they were weirded out by this requirement as well. Can someone confirm what it is Instacart’s asking for?
