Took the mini-14 out after the chop n thread for some testing. Overall happy but still way way over gassed. Time to get an adjustable gas block I suppose. And I may go to a dot over the scope since brass is hitting the turret cap….
Ended up right at 12-1/8” barrel length and there’s a nice feeling knowing I did it myself too.
From cutting to crowning to threading start to finish in house is a nice accomplished feeling. First pic is the form 1 mini with form 1 can, second is with my polo K. Yeah I know it may not look the prettiest but function over all else and this functions.
Time to finish this one tomorrow and prep for the next one. Ignore the mess, it was to hot in the shop to disassemble out there 😝
