Haki evolves when you face advanced opponents, Katakuri being stuck on Totto land, couldn't face tough opponents untill Luffy came. If he learned something in the fight against Luffy, he might be able to considering its confirmed he was conquerors haki. With big mom gone, his siblings have to rely on him to become the new leader of the big mom pirates, plus its inevitable he will leave Totto land since he has to save Pudding.

Not dropping a single set untill quarterfinal to opponents like Duda+Tomokazu is insane. He was good before, but not this level. It'd be cool if unrepresented man won it all (def does deserve to represent.)
