Hi everyone!

I’ve noticed quite a few people here earning $100k+, and I’m curious how you got there. Would you mind sharing your career and salary progression?

Here’s mine (CAD):

Age 24–27: Accountant, $40k to $60k
Age 28: Senior Accountant, $65k (Big 4, East Coast)
I’m planning to start my CPA program in May next year under the new program.

I’m also considering making the move from public accounting to industry, mainly for better pay and career growth.

For those who made the switch to industry, how much of a salary increase did you get? Did you wait until you got your CPA, or did you make the move before?
My goal is to eventually reach $100k+, so I’d love to hear your experiences and any advice!
