Travel nurses — who’s the BEST recruiter you’ve ever had?

I’m looking to get into travel nursing and I’m trying to find a genuinely solid recruiter/agency.

Not just someone who spam texts you every 5 minutes, but recruiters who actually:

  • fight for good pay/packages
  • are honest about contracts
  • don’t disappear once you start
  • help with licensing/housing/reimbursement
  • are responsive and transparent

If you’ve had a recruiter you’d genuinely vouch for, please drop:

  • recruiter name
  • agency
  • why they were good

Feel free to shill them honestly lol. I’d rather hear real experiences than random Google reviews.

Has anyone had a travel agency pay for licensure before a contract?

Has anyone had a travel nursing agency pay for your state license before starting a contract?

I’ve had a couple coworkers tell me some agencies will cover licensing costs upfront before you even begin the assignment, especially for out-of-state licenses. I’m looking into possibly getting licensed in another state and was wondering if anyone here has actually had an agency do this for them?

If so, which agencies were willing to help/pay upfront? Did you need to sign a contract first or meet certain conditions?

Would really appreciate any recommendations or experiences, thanks!
