Hey everyone I am going for a 2.5 solo backpacking trip in Asia and part of this trip I will be trekking around Annapurna. I found myself a good company but I try to avoid their extra fees for equipment since I read online you can get cheap gear in thamel. I will be prior in china so I want to pack as light as possible. What things would you say should I rent or even buy there and what should I bring definetly before the trip. Also if you know good shops please lmk. Thanks for your responses!
Hey everyone, I am currently planning my china trip in a month and it’s my first real long-distance trip solo trip. I land in chongqing and a huge lists of things I wanna see and do and since it’s a lot I wanted to start from the furthest point: Fanjingshan. My plan would be to take the train to Tongren. Stay a night there and go up the mountain next day. The train ride I thought about booking with trip.com but all I usually find are expensive packages for hundreds of euros. I thought about taking the bus from Tongren early in the morning and try to get a ticket if I can’t get one prior online. Would really like to see Fanjingshan and will move after that to zhangjiajie. Any advice for how to get there, what I should keep in mind, where to stay and how to move from Tongren to zhangjiajie is welcomed! Thanks in advance :)
