Metal Slug is an old arcade videogame franchise made of run and gun videogames that are pretty known for having beautiful pixel art animations, amazing soundtracks for every game and being both INSANELY difficult and really fun ofc!
I absolutely recommend playing the anthology collection that includes the first 6 games if you know how to use an emulator!
Fun fact: these games are really loved in Latin American countries but especially Mexico, and Fio Germi is Italian.
And considering that RubberRoss said that Kit would be half Mexican and half Italian if she was from earth.
I think this makes the reference even cooler!
(Though this is probably just a silly theory)
Btw, the blonde guy in the last image is Marco Rossi.
Another (and the first) main character of Metal Slug, he is my favorite character of the franchise!
Plus he is an Italian American like Kit's dad!
