At a loss over Health Equity denying every HSA reimbursement request
Basically the title.. I have issues with the debit card being declined at providers so I’ve paid out of pocket and now I’m trying to submit reimbursement requests through the app.
Every single one goes from pending -> unpaid -> closed and I get a notice the request was denied. I called customer service because there’s no reasons given for the denials. They said the “amount paid” was showing up as $0.00 so there’s nothing to be paid out?? But I did input the total expense and a “amount paid” field doesn’t exist in the original form. It just shows up on the submitted form and there’s no way to edit that field after it’s been submitted.
Anyways, spent time submitting new requests while on the phone with customer service. The rep confirmed everything looked good at the end of the call.. only for me to get a bunch of denied emails today. What a waste of time. This is a nightmare. I’ve had a bunch of FSA/HSA administrators over the years and I don’t think I’ve ever had claims denied.
