Hey all

When doing some maintenance on this 1941 Lithgow No. 1 Mk. III* I noticed that the bushing between the trigger guard screw and the receiver was missing. I dutifully ordered a spare, only to find that it doesn't fit.

The bushing appears to be the proper size (and was sourced from a Lee Enfield spare parts shop), however the diameter of the hole in the forewood is 1-2mm slimmer than the OD of the bushing (which is approx 9mm).

What might be going on here, and what can I do about it, apart from live without the bushing?
