Diecast Hiro review!!

Positives:

  1. His length and proportions are spot on! He finally feels big and grand again!

  2. General details are pretty good, the lamp is nice and I like his under details

  3. The face looks like a simplified version of Hiro(in a nice way). I think he could have more defined features but it's still good.

4)The black paint job is nice, glad that his smoke box is actually black and not dark blue. His gold lining is clean

Area for improvement

  1. The plastic parts..To be fair I don't mind them as much as others but I think fully metal is still better than 50/50

  2. Lack of boogie wheels. This makes him kinda impossible to go around bends or turns. But honestly, some take along toys also had that problem so it's nothing new tbh.

  3. The tender could've used more weight. This is a common problem with the tender engines.

Overall, I really dig Hiro. I can understand if he's not your cup of tea. As a Hiro lover, I may be a bit biased but I really do love him here. Side note: putting him alongside Thomas gives me some HOTR flashbacks

Rating: 9/10

Is there a fix to this?

Recently I got the barrel delivery set, everything else was great except for the Thomas I got. For some reason, even with new batteries his motor doesn't move. Can anyone tell what's the reason and how can I fix it?

Gng, did I spend too much?

Over the past three months, I spent around 200 USD on a bunch of Thomas merch!

- 4 new motorised engines+3 rolling stock

- 15 new diecast engines

- 2 big track sets( the 6 in 1 and the barrel delivery set specifically)

- 4 second hand rolling stock

Even though I'm happy with what I got, I feel kinda bad spending basically 66 dollars per month..

I wanna know y'all thoughts on this

Can plarail trains run on the all engines go track?

Recently I've been collecting a good amount of the 80th motorised stuff and I've also thought of buying some Plarail stuff, specifically Hiro(cuz he looks so peak). But I wanna know do the plarail stuff have any problems while running on the track? Please let me know

I actually don't mind the 80th motorised tender engines.

Yeah before you shoot me , I just wanna say proportion wise they are kinda goofy yes. Though, I still like their details and I find them oddly charming.

Plus, their faces are actually nice(...2026 James..)

James is okay, Gordon is cool and flying Scotsman is pretty neat. I won't say they are as good as the smaller engines but they ain't as bad as people say.

Function wise, they are 100% better than their 2026 motorised counterparts, cause at least they can run pretty well and aren't slow as hell.

If you don't like them hey that's fine with me, we all have varied opinions afterall.

Holy Price Increase

For context, it's basically the equivalent of 35 USD-

What's weird is it used to be sold for only 8 USD..dunno why the price skyrocketed after only one Henry is in stock.

A lil repost of the three gaming engines

Sorry I forgot to give credit to the guy who made the thumbnail I based off. The gentleman is @steamtronics productions. Credits to him for creating this wonderful thumbnail.
