Taking Slinda for a year and still spotting almost constantly
I have read so many post’s about other Slinda users, and sadly so many are very disheartened. I have been taking Slinda for 11 months, and as requested from my doctor I do not take the placebo. I have taken them a few times over the almost year, but generally go straight to the next active pills in the next pack. I had been experiencing, since getting older, heavy periods and back pain and cramping to the point I would have to take time off work. It makes me very nauseous and on top I would have terrible anxiety. The many problem though was the lightheadedness, probably due to low iron from blood loss and just feeling awful. This is why my doctor prescribed Slinda.
It was prescribed due to being over 40yrs old and also a smoker so it was the best option for me.
Unfortunately I have been having spotting sooooo often, currently on day 23, both slight spotting and other days in the 23 have been what I consider actually bleeds. I am so over it, I do get months of nothing and it tricks me, as I feel like,’oh this is awesome I feel good I’m not bleeding I am unlike a proper adult’ then boom spotting starts and it just feels never ending. When I am spotting in length it’s with cramps and bloating and nausea and headaches and makes me feel so uncomfortable.and the lightheadedness returns. Not to mention the constant need for pads and checking every time I go to the toilet to see blood again and feel like it’s never going to end.
I know everyone is different so it’s hard to ask for advice and yes I do have an appointment booked with my gp but she has a long wait list and I don’t see her for another month. I just wish it would stop, everyone says it can take months or even years for your body to get use to it and I am honestly scared to just stop and have bad periods or start again on something else. Please can anyone help????
