Intolerance to almost all medical procedures?
Just curious, my body seems to have been hypersensitive to normal medical procedures even before my Long Covid. E.g.:
Dysautonomia after a “minimally invasive” laparoscopic surgery. While most people only need to recover for a week or a month, I had to drop out of school for a year to recover from it.
Covid vaccine—acute chest pain and breathing difficulty for two weeks.
HPV vaccine—heat racing 140+ for a month.
MMR vaccine—fever and acute thyroiditis (went away after three months).
My body usually calmed down itself after a while. But after Covid it just never “calmed down. Every minor thing becomes risky:
Leg pain to the point of unable to walk for three weeks after an EMG exam. The needle may have caused temporary minor inflammation but nothing can explain why the pain would “return” occasionally even till now.
An antibiotic (just one pill…) almost destroyed my stomach: acute burning pain and GERD, later turned to chronic stomach pain coming back and forth.
Once tried SSRI under psychiatrist’s guidance, and had unbearable nausea, vomiting, insomnia and fever. I really hope I can benefit from SSRI and want to try again if my conditions can calm down a bit.
My body responds to every minor exertion so tremendously and “lastingly” that I am scared of seeking further tests or try treatments… for example, I have seen that any infection will make me worse, so I really want to get vaccinated for Covid and flu — but I am afraid they will make me worse and this worsening is irreversible.
More baffling is there is no explanation, like—most people will recover from antibiotic-induced stomach problem with time but I am stuck there…
Just curious if anyone has similar experience or any idea about this… thank you…
