Hello everyone! I have a question for the metalheads.

I want to dress with a black metal outfit for prom : black metal merch, corpse paint etc... But I'm afraid to hurt the black metal community because I'm not really into the black metal music. However, I know some other groups except Burzum and Mayhem and I like to listen to this genre often, but I think my outfit will be seen as a "cosplay" to the community (I'm afraid to look like the fake goths on tiktok 😓). I'm really afraid to make cultural appropriation.

So for conclue, can I wear a black metal outfit even if I'm not really into the black metal community? (sorry for my English, I'm French)
