Michigan waitlist

I have been waitlisted at two schools but only Michigan sends updates to your waitlist number. At Michigan, I was waitlist number 40-something and now I'm waitlist number 12. I know the chances of getting off are slim but I'm super worried that I'll have to make a decision at the end of the summer before classes start. I've heard about how some people get off the waitlist the week before or the week of class start. I also have had my reservations about attending Michigan due to the change in curriculum over the past year. If anyone can tell me more about Michigan and if it's worth going if I'm moved off the waitlist.

In addition, this will be my fourth cycle applying and I have been waitlisted for 3 years now.
