Hi everyone,
I had my marriage-based I-485 interview at the Kansas City Field Office on January 12.
The interview seemed to go well, but I didn't get an approval on the spot. For the last four months, my status was stuck on "Interview Scheduled." However, I just got an update today that changed to: "Case is still being processed by USCIS."
Has anyone else who interviewed at the KC office in January (or early 2026) seen this status change?
Does this usually mean a decision is finally coming, or is it just an automated system update?
For those who saw this status after an interview, how long did it take to get the "Case Approved" notification?
The wait is getting stressful, so I’d love to hear from anyone with a similar timeline or experience at this field office. Thanks!
