Looking for guidance
I’m a 22F from India and just graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology + English. I recently started working in UX/content design at a well-paying global tech company and my compensation is currently around 24–25 LPA total comp.
My academics are decent-above average, but not exceptional. However, I do have internships/work experience throughout college and I’m hoping to build a strong long-term career in tech/product/strategy.
I know I’m very early in my career, but I eventually want to pursue an MBA (possibly abroad). Long-term, I’d also ideally like to settle outside India.
A few questions:
- What kind of MBA programs should someone with my background realistically target?
- Does a humanities background help or hurt for top MBAs?
- How many years should I work before applying?
- What kind of career trajectory would strengthen my profile the most from here? (UX writing → product/content strategy/product management/etc.?)
- How important are undergrad grades once you have strong work experience?
- If your goal is eventually living abroad, which countries/programs currently make the most sense?
Would especially love advice from people in tech, product, consulting, or MBA admissions.
