I got some Airflo Universal Taper on deep discount at a local fly shop ( and I think I know why it was deeply discounted).

I have used it maybe 7 times and have been unable to remove the coil. I stretch it out, dress it, clean, etc but nothing seems to work. It’ll straighten out for about 3 casts then coils on the water. I can legitimately watch it slowly coil on the waters surface…

Any advice or suggestions? Is it just shitty line that was on discount for a reason?
