Austin is on a 21 million dollar cap hold this year. Thats it. That number is already baked into the 48 mill in cap space too.
Everything other dollar will be above is over the cap dollars that we can’t use to sign FAs anyway. Austin signs for 40mill, it still counts as the 21. Signs for 35mill, still counts as 21.
The key isn’t him signing for less this year it’s getting it to be descending in future years when it will hit the cap high. Now LeBron…yes that number will impact us tremendously.
