DO NOT USE LifeSafer Intelligent Speed Assistance Device
I had the LifeSaver Intelligent Speed Device installed on my son's vehicle to control his habitual speeding. The company failed to inform me that according to a Technical Service Bulletin, wiring on the throttle body assembly module of GM vehicles cannot be altered or modified (which is required for this device to work) without causing malfunction to acceleration. As a result, after a couple of months, my son's speed would drop suddenly and unexpectedly while driving. At one point, after stopping at a red light, he was unable to accelerate AT ALL. Thank God he (or anyone else) was not hurt or killed as a result of this device. When I called the company to ask for a refund for my monthly service fee, I was told "That's not the way we do business." This company LIED TO ME that this device was compatible with his vehicle. IT IS NOT. While the concept is noble with the intention of keeping drivers safe, the device needs to keep ALL DRIVERS SAFE. This device is A SAFETY HAZARD. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
