What attribution tools are you using (hockeystack, dreamdata, usermaven, hubspot etc)
so this is the first time we're looking into setting up proper attribution for our business. interested to know what everyone here using for attribution.. i understand its tricky rn with ai and everything to track but we aim to track whatever possible.
like we are focused on ai rankings, but we don't really count on it that much yet, so don't care about ai llm attribution at this point, main focus is to track the ads, specially as we aim to run ads on differnt lead magnets like scorecard, pdfs, checklists and micro tools
so basically what we're trying to do is create really helpful assets
- scorecards (proper scoring and helpful)
- pdfs and checklists (actionable, no fluff)
- micro tools (that actually solves problem)
we will explore the organic methods to promote them as well, but i dont particularly like the gated linkedin post like comment and i will give you this and this.. those who are doing it, great, i dont see myself comment farming..
rather i will just share the links. and inevitably the reach will be not as high, and im confident in our materials.. so we'll run ads instead..
our buying cycle is a bit long and it requires some level or warmup, trust building before commiting to the service (agency for enterprises)
so long story short, we'd want to put out the materials, tools and scorecards out, and run ads on them, we'll capture the leads there, run email campaigns PURELY informational and value driven, so we're basiaclly trying to turn cold visitors into warm leads.. by materials, content (youtube, linkedin, blogs etc)
looking for an attribution tool.. in search hubspot is the most common solution that comes up, but we cant seem to afford it at the moment, hockeystack is another that keeps popping up, but again i'd estimate the cost for them is about to go $2k+
dreamdata im esitmating $900 more or less, with usermaven more or less $200
i think dreamdata has a good reputation connecting revenue to marketing more accurately than many tools, ui is good, customer journey (most needed for us) is great as well
usermaven is by far seems to be the cheapest for what they offer, have different models for attribution and flexibility and seems to be moving fast with new features.. but again costs a fraction compared to others
am i looking into the right tools or missing anything important? any recs would be greatly appreciated.
