Paid program for taking care of parent not directly in your home
I'm sorry if this has been asked i tried to search but didn't specifically see anything similar.
My mother is medically disabled and then had multiple strokes on top of her existing issues. I have since had to quit my full time job due to having to take to much time off to help with appointments, at home needs, shopping, medications and whatever else. She can do minor tasks herself but requires some guidance. I'v spoken to a company but they stated i had to live directly with her. I live next door in a duplex connected to hers and I'm with her through most of the day when my brother is at work. I guess what I'm asking is.. Is there an actual company that would agree to such living situations? We cant afford to buy/rent a bigger home. I'm having a hard time on a one income house as i have a 2 year old as well. I'm paying out gas, copays and help with medication as shes kind of having issues in this economy.
she is on disability and Medicaid.
