Budget: $1500 max for body and a good lens

Country: USA

Condition: Used, I cannot afford new

Type of Camera: Mirrorlesss or DSLR, part of my problem is trying to choose

Intended use: Photography only

If photography; what style: Landscape mainly, emphasis on storm chasing, it's what I can't get much of now with my setup. Some action dog shots, some birds

If video what style: NA

What features do you absolutely need: Good in weird + dark lighting (dappled, cloudy), weather sealing, high res as possible for the budget

What features would be nice to have: Full frame for better dynamic range, animal auto tracking (but I've done ok with my old phone, attached)

Portability: How portable does it need to be?: Semi truck is fine, lol. I'm fit and I'll be mostly driving and I'm not shooting many people so I don't care about being inconspicuous

Cameras you're considering: Nikon D850 (sharpness, landscape color accuracy, weather sealing), Sony 6700 (I'm a sucker for sony colors, great auto focus, good in dark lighting), Fujifilm Xt-3 (shockingly sharp for an apsc 24 mp, affordable, I like their film vibe).

Cameras you already have: Sony Xperia 1ii (phone, easy to use, reliable controls, good colors, but terrible zoom, not good at night, not great resolution) + a Canon Rebel XT (✨free✨, and it showed me I wanted a real camera).

Notes: My priority is image quality and detail. I'm not married to the Sony colors, I know things can be changed in post, but I'm stuck because I do shoot a lot of weird things (storms, fog, dogs, shade), and I have done pretty well with what I have, so I don't want to upgrade, on my smaller budget, if it's just going to get me a small improvement.

"No OP, you want too much for too small a budget" is a valid answer. Thank you!!!
