Currently at 3.5 years national guard e4 19d. Want to stay in to do my 20 years however being a scout not sure what’s gonna happen with my mos/career. Main PNN Rumor is we’re reclassing to infantry. I’m not opposed to going 11 series my main concern is I will admit I’ve never taken PT seriously as I should’ve. With the new ACT/CFT I’m currently working out more and trying to get in better shape but I’m not sure I’ll be able to meet combat standard.
I’ve always thought about going reserves for easier promotion since it’s hard as hell to get promoted in my state as my MOS. Couple questions if I were to go reserves could I pick my mos or how exactly does that work. I mainly want to go 68w but my GT is 106. I’m also considering 74d, or 12b/12. How are deployments like in the reserves I’ve always wanted to deploy but haven’t been able to yet and last PNN was my state is deploying year I ETS. Any advice/info is appreciated.
