Bought Doctor-ordered Minis

I just wanted to share a silly story. I had my official autism evaluation this week. My diagnosis was confirmed and the psychologist who did my evaluation told me to do something to celebrate because as a chronic illness girly I find comfort in labels/validation.

I told her during the evaluation how making my minis is one of the few craft things I do solely for my own enjoyment. A lot of times I craft with "will someone want to buy this?" in the back of my mind.

I mentioned that Target was having BOGO on Miniverse. And she's basically said "Well now you HAVE to get some to celebrate. Doctor's orders." So I did. And it brought me joy.

She told me she also collects and I explained pinholes to her. So I changed her life too a little bit lol!

Molded Pumpkin Spice Latte

I bought a mold from Mini Mold Maker and I was so excited when it showed up. This was her first time molding the sleeve for the Halloween Series 1 pumpkin spice latte. I'm so happy it worked out. She also molded the cup and lid. I couldn't bring myself to pay some of the prices for the whole official set. Now I can make all the PSLs I want.

Mini Food Truck

Someone suggested a while back after a WIP pic of my Mexican restaurant that I should do a food truck. I had to put a pause on my restaurant because I want to 3D print some chairs and my 3D printer refuses to cooperate and let me set it up. I was finally able to get around to my food truck though!

I used my Cricut to make the pattern and cut it out in foam board. None of the minis are glued down yet because I have commitment issues. They're currently being held by Gorilla putty.

Some of the elements were designed or modified by me. But a huge shout out goes to Gloria's Minis on Facebook and Tiktok for sharing her files!

It is primarily what you'd find at a Hispanic food truck here in my area of TX. We have a lot of them so it was a project dear to me.

Red Velvet for My Mama

My mom has been baking a lot lately to cope with some health struggles she's dealing with that is keeping her out of work. She's also been making her coffee at home more and showing it off. So for Mother's Day I decorated an iced coffee cup for her. (It says: Sweet as pan dulce) However, I gave up one of my prized unmade minis to make her a straw charm to go with it. It's a running joke that my mom's favorite cake is red velvet.

When I was growing up for some reason I thought that was her favorite and I convinced my younger siblings, stepdad, and my grandma too. She never corrected me until I was well into my 20s lol. It's actually chocolate on chocolate! She still loved this red velvet though.
