Nov. Exam

Hi all!! Thanks to this group I purchased Danko Signature PLUS for the November 2026 exam! I did get a late start as I just graduated college and needed to do all my licensing this summer so I officially started my studying on Aug. 12 (the day after I passed my series 66) and am trying to catch up/make sure I'm properly studying. I am not worried about getting through the material in time for my live review however I am worried about actually retaining the stuff I'm studying for the next few weeks. Looking for study tips from those who also used danko! I am lucky enough to have time at the office to study around 4.5/5 hrs a day + night and weekends since I'm only 22 I don't have much going on outside of this 😂

Looking for any and all advice thank you!!!

Exam Tomorrow

My exam is tomorrow and I feel super nervous! I've been suing Kaplan and have been spamming those exams + Ken's brutal exams the last 2 days. Does anyone have any recs of videos to watch tonight or any small easy to remember things that'll help me get a question on the exam? I'm a really anxious test taker so I won't be able to relax tonight

Agent question

Question about agents and registration:

Kaplan Book says

When companies issue securities and hire people (instead of investment bankers or broker-dealers) to sell them to the public, those people are usually considered agents. Unless they are excluded from the definition of an agent or have an exemption, they must be registered. Individuals are excluded from being considered agents (and don’t need to register in a state) when they represent issuers in making transactions in these situations:

  1. For certain exempt securities

  2. For exempt transactions

  3. With existing employees, partners, or directors of the company, as long as they aren’t paid a commission or other compensation for making sales in that state.

So then I got a quiz question that looked like this:

With regard to the state registration requirements of agents of registered broker-dealers, all of the following statements are correct except

A) registration is required if they solicit the sale of securities by telephone to fewer than six individuals residing in that state.

B) registration is required in each state in which the employing broker-dealer has a place of business.

C) registration is not required in a state where the agent has no place of business and only deals with existing clients who are vacationing in that state.

D) registration is required when they limit their activity to the sale of exempt securities.

So I am that agents are excluded from being considered agents when representing issuers in the sale of exempt securities but then the answer explanation is:

Agents must register in each state where they are selling or offering securities, even if the security or the transaction is exempt. That exemption only applies to the need for the security to be registered, not the agent

With that said, I understand why B is the correct answer, I just don't understand why D is not

Kaplan practice exam

Does Kaplan only have one actual practice exam? I know I can do the simulated exams but I feel like the simulated ones are a lot easier and would like to take more of the practice style ones but I don't see an option for that. Is there only one?

Help!!

My exam is in less than a week and I can't keep straight exempt transactions/securities/exempt from registration what's exempt and what it all actually means. I've read those chapters a few times and it's just not clicking. Can anyone make any recommendations?

Is anyone able to drop any dump sheets / links to videos/tests they used to prep for this exam? I feel like I'm kind of underestimating this exam and need to lock in

Exam in 12 Days

My exam is in 12 days (Aug 11), I just finished the book (Kaplan) and I will likely take my first practice test tomorrow. I feel good about most of the chapters because I just took the Series 7, but the first few chapters are kind of rough for me USAA req for registration/exemptions/exclusions all that. Is there any videos y'all can recommend that will help me better understand it? Looking for all recommended videos, dump sheets, anything to get me through this test. I refuse to not pass!! (mostly bc I need to move on and study for the cfp lol)

November Exam

Hi all!! I am looking for advice for providers for studying for the November exam. For background I passed my education requirement during undergrad (graduated in May), I genuinely just dropped the ball on researching study providers because I've been trying to crank out my license exams. Thank you!

Test Anxiety

My series 7 is tomorrow morning and I'm totally freaking out with anxiety. I am playing a million scenarios in my head about the kind of draw I could get and freaking out. Anyone have any advice on how to overcome this? I want to go in confident in myself but unfortunately my anxiety is overtaking me right now.

When are discounts taxed?

I'm kind of confused trying to remember when discounts / premiums need to be accreted / amortized regarding OID vs secondary market and just can't keep it all straight. Can anyone pass along some wisdom or videos that could help me? Thank you!

Kaplan Scores

Exam is Wednesday morning (8 am so really no time for anything morning of aside from the drive there) I'm using Kaplan and scoring mid 80s on my practice exams. I scored an 86 on the mastery exam, I've been consistently scoring around 83-86 for the last 2 days. I also individually simulated exams with the weights and topics of each function and scored F1 100%, F2- 9O.91%, F3 - 85.71%, F4 - 87.91%.

I know that the results can't really be indicative of exams but I just am looking for reassurance/stuff to hone in on at this point. Also how do I know when I'm ready? I'm a really anxious test taker, so odds are I'll never feel ready but I want to know when other people kind of hit that wall.

T-3 Days!!!

Three days until my exam I'm sooo nervous!!! I have been spamming practice exams scoring low to mid 80s on Kaplan and my proper simulated exam (the package I purchased allows unlimited practice exams but you can only take one simulated one that simulates the time and not immediately scoring the questions) score was an 86. I scored an 82 on Ken's brutal exam. I am so overwhelmed because I was scoring way higher on my practice exams for my SIE and even though I passed I felt like I was failing it the whole time lol.

Anyway, I'm looking for all recs of youtube videos, if anyone has any dump sheets they would be willing to share, anything and everything!!!! I have the next 2 days to study non stop.

First Practice Exam + Finished the book

Hi!

I have recently finished reading the book from Kaplan for my series 7 and finished my first practice exam on Kaplan. I scored a 65.38%, which I'm not ecstatic about but it is my first practice exam so I'll move forward with what I got wrong and take another tomorrow!

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations of specific chapters to reread (in addition to the ones I struggled with on practice exam), videos to watch, sites to use, other exams/practices to complete. Basically just looking for advice on everything I can do to prep for my exam for the next 2 weeks!

Thanks!
