For people living in student accommodation is there anyway to learn who we'll be staying with before arriving?

I'm staying in Merville. Given the fact that I'm moving halfway across the world in a week, I'd kinda like to know who exactly I'm going to be living with for the next year prior to going.

Got a placement at Merville. Should I accept it?

Edit: Thanks for the help I accepted!

I'm an American study abroad student. I got a placement at Merville, I have until the end of the week to accept it and pay the deposit. It's 919 euro per month for a private room in a shared apartment. I was hoping for something more in the 600-800 euro range and I am a little concerned about living in student housing as I am a bit older than other students (I'm 26, I had to drop out of university because I got leukemia). I know there's a housing crisis in Dublin, how realistic would it really be to find a less expensive homestay or similar in reasonable commuting range of UCD? What's Merville like? Do many grad students live on campus?
