I've helped run events before but this is the first time I'm the one picking the tech stack instead of just using whatever was already in place. It's a 2 day industry conference, in person with maybe a livestream option for a few sessions.

Trying to avoid the mistake of picking something bloated with features I'll never touch, but also not wanting to end up managing five different logins for tickets, app, and check in separately.

For context on what actually held up, a friend running a similar sized conference used Eventify last year and said the thing that saved them was the check in app working offline when their venue Wi Fi dropped, syncing automatically once signal came back. That's the kind of day of detail that never shows up in a demo but matters way more than the feature list.
