Reddit has connected me to ask everyone to get real and stop saying these slide shows of celebrities you find hot are your “type”. While that amount of optimism is inspiring, it is detrimental to your perceptions of the reality around you.

The next time you feel the urge to write “my type” please enclose a picture(s) of past partners. “Types” are based on the idea of people you were attracted to and that connection was reciprocated. Anything else is simply finding someone hot.
