Noticed water dripping from ceiling. Inspected the shower above and realized we’ve had a slow leak for who knows how long.

Water has been seeping behind the diverter.

The shower has a false wall, so there’s more drywall behind it flush with the rest of the bathroom.

I pulled off a tile to inspect and saw the wall behind it has this spotty mold.

Does this warrant a full shower rebuild? It’s only a few years old and would love to avoid a full rebuild but I don’t think I can rip off the wall behind without removing half or more of the shower tiles.
