United Healthcare

My husband found out he had no health insurance coverage when he went to pickup our Rx at the pharmacy today. So I had to re-enroll him in a United Healthcare Advantage Plan. It took over an hour. I had two previous calls where I got AI customer service & foreign agents I just could not understand. On the third try I got someone that spoke understandable English. They say they dropped him because our PCP never confirmed that he has Type 2 & Afib heart issues, within 60 days. Our PCP is always on top of insurance, so I blame UHC for this. We were able to re-enroll because he had enrolled initially during the open enrollment period before he was dropped. I am rethinking our decision to go with a Medicare Advantage plan & will consider plain old Medicare & a drug plan for next year. What happens to people that are not persistent like I was? The rigamarole & retape are exhausting & unnecessary.
